Quick major tip, The blots for the rails when tightening them, do not exceed more than 17 ft/lbs of torque as it could cause you to crack the slate overtime. From there you can use the beeswax to seal the micro gap in the seam. You will take a razor blade to remove the top part once it semi hardens. This will help seal and keep the slate together and can be easily taken apart later by yourself or a mechanic as it's common practice. Place about 7/8 of the paper down in between the slate the use superglue on the remaining 1/8 part and let the superglue wick down into the paper. ![]() Also before doing the beeswax you want to take 3 pieces of (3" L x 1" H) of a brown paper bag and put it between the joining slates. When joining the seams, you can use beeswax if the table is not in a hot environment. I did buy a used machine level and used a 3-foot carpenters level to help level along with a cue ball as once you let go of that cue ball, it will roll in the direction in which the slate is lower and not level. The instructions are from a perfectionist so they seem a bit overkill cause I'm an amateur. The mechanic is RKC and is basically the best around the US.
